Colorado Freedom Memorial
City of Aurora
Located in Springhill Community Park at 756 Tullride St. Aurora, CO 80011 the Colorado Freedom Memorial is the first memorial in America dedicated a to ALL wars and ALL branches of service that contains the names of all those who died from a single state.
The memorial holds the names of over 6,000 Coloradans killed or missing in action. They are grouped by war, but names are not listed alphabetically. This was meant to reflect the chaos of war.
Thousands have visited the monument since its dedication in 2013. These heroes left the mountains of home to fight in places they many never had heard of. People come to shed tears, to reminisce, to pay tribute, or just to sit and remember.
The Colorado Freedom Memorial touches each visitor in its own way.
